Meet Dr. Sandra Kearns Psychology has been part of my life ever since my undergraduate days at the University of Denver. Subsequently, I continued pursuing my interest in psychology by enrolling in graduate school at the University of Massachusetts; I developed a specialization in learning psychology and focused my research endeavors on basic learning processes in children. After graduate school, I worked with other psychologists on a longitudinal study of children at the National Institute of Mental Health, consulted with a research project on nutrition and cognitive development in Tunisia, and spent several years teaching undergraduate psychology. Eventually, I decided to pursue my growing interest in being "out in the field" and helping others. Thus I returned to school, enrolling at Fielding Graduate University and earning a clinical psychology respecialization certificate with an emphasis on adult treatment. Since obtaining my California psychologist license in 2005, I have maintained a private practice in Newport Beach, CA. I provide treatment for adults of all ages, both at my office and in clients' homes. For additional background information , click here. |
